Kelley Davis, LPTA

Kelley’s lifelong love of science and movement culminated in the completion of her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Jefferson State Community College. She started her education at Birmingham-Southern College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Fun activities include time with family, walking, Pilates, yoga, reading, and following interior design trends.

  • After graduating college with degrees in dance and biology, Kelley enjoyed a ten-year career in telecommunications before becoming a stay-home mom. While raising her daughter, she served as a community and school volunteer and continued dance for fitness and fun.
  • Through dance Kelley learned about Pilates for flexibility and core strength. After practicing Mat Pilates for several years, she became certified to teach Mat, Reformer, and Chair Pilates through Balanced Body Studio. Teaching Pilates in various studio and therapeutic settings opened her eyes to the connection between Pilates and physical therapy, and from there, she decided to go back to school to become a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • As a therapist, Kelley enjoys working with patients to restore strength, balance, and functional movement patterns. She incorporates dance and Pilates principles when possible, and continues to learn new techniques to bring into her practice.
